As the title explains all, the Leeds-based garage punk band Rent Boys are waiting for you, at Japanese record store File-Under Rrcords in Nagoya, to come and pick them up and have fun at yours together. Well, simply, their 2nd single 'Live That Way' and brand-new 3rd single 'Shoot Your Shot' are now available at the record store, File-Under Records in Japan. I'm not a liar and I am telling you a truth, both singles are nearly sold out. Be quick! especially in a case you live in Japan.

Brown Brogues
These guys are one of young up-coming bands that you definitely should see live at least once. In my case, one time was not enough.
今回紹介するのは、様々なフェスやイベントでプレイして今イギリスで徐々に注目を集めてきている若手。かならず一度は生で見てほしい、聞いてほしいオススメバンドです。

Brown Brogues(ブラウン・ブログズ)というバンド知ってますか？
Brown Brogues are young two piece emerged from Manchester. Mark Vernon on vocals and guitar, and Ben Mather on drums.
最近服屋さんやファッション雑誌でもよく見る、オックスフォードシューズやゴルフシューズ、あれがbroguesです。スコットランド・アイルランド訛りのこともbrogueと言うらしいですが、きっと茶色い靴を意味しているように感じます。そんなBrown Broguesはイギリス有数の音楽街としても名高いマンチェスター出身。ボーカル・ギター担当のMark Vernon、かなり限られたセットのドラムを叩くBen Matherの２人組。
The simple bass-less formation duo brings you a pretty lo-fi garage sound which would remind you of some great influential garage bands such as Thee Oh Sees, Ty Segall and Black Lips. Also I should probably mention Coachwhips as another good influential figure since I felt, when I first saw Brown Brogues live, John Dwyer might be one of their musical heros.
楽器はギターとドラムだけのシンプル構成な彼ら。とある記事でNo-Fiとまで言われてしまうくらいに極限に削られたかなりローファイなガレージサウンドを聞かせてくれます。インディー系のガレージが好きな方なら、彼らの曲を聞いてすぐにThee Oh Sees、Ty Segall、Black Lipsなどを思い浮かべる人も少なくないはず。実際に、ボーカルのMarkはJohn Dwyerが凄く好きなようで、お気に入りバンドにJohn DwyerのかつてのプロジェクトCoachwhipsも挙げているくらい。身体の高い位置に固定されたギター、マイクをくわえ込む勢いで奇声を上げる姿、タンクトップから覗く年齢の割には沢山入っている上半身のタトゥー、そんなステージ上のボーカルMarkを見れば、John Dwyerの影響を大きく受けていることがすぐに分かる。(John Dwyerの場合はマイクを思いっきりくわえ込んでいるけども。。)
They’ve released three singles on 7” apart from their hand-made CDr ‘A Night Of Living Sickness’ which is already sold out. Two singles entitled Wild Man and Don’t Touch My Hair were released in 2011 and both can be heard on their bandcamp. And in February, their new single ‘Anyone But You’ was launched through London-based label Italian Beach Babes Records. Pysical single is available on Italian Beach Babes' bigcartel and digital one is available on iTunes.
Brown Broguesは今までに、手作り感たっぷりな見た目が素敵なCDrのA Night of Living Sicknessを除いて、３枚の７インチシングルをリリース。2011年に発売されたWild ManとDon’t Touch My Hairは彼らのbandcampにて視聴可能！Don’t Touch My Hairは既に完売しているようですが、bandcampにてダウンロードできます。そして先月２月には、彼ら３枚目のシングルとなるAnyone But Youが、ロンドンのレーベルItalian Beach Babes Recordsから発売。Italian Beach Babesはイギリスで今人気を集めている若手バンドMazesやNOVELLAもレコードリリースをしたことがある注目の新興レーベル。ニューシングルのAnyone But Youはレーベルのオンラインショップ(bigcartel)、またiTunesでもゲットできます。
They’re currently in US doing their first-ever tour in America, and coming back to England and playing in London on the 18th April at The Garage and I am going. yippie!
彼らは現在、初となるアメリカツアーの真っ最中。９日にAustinでプレイし、今月２２日と２３日には２日連続NYでライブの予定。そしてイギリスに戻って1発目のギグはロンドン。初のUSツアーを終えた彼らが、以前イギリスで見た時とどう変わっているのかが楽しみ！
